I will preface what may be a stupid question with the acknowledgment that I haven't really paid attention to most of what has happened in Africa since, mmm, about the beginning of the Holocene. And maybe I should read the rest of your articles first...But, are you saying Someone found a way to connect Niger to the GWOT by contriving "terrorist" ties in order to put boots on the ground and money in the coffers *as a smokescreen* to fight an economic battle (with US government contractors and follow-on businesses) against China over a resource rich and politically unstable region?
