I’ve read the American female that was rescued did not want her name released. I can understand why. The media will be on you like vultures trying to be the first to get the story. But that also will peak the interest into who she is and why she was there in the first place.
Merci Beaucoup to the French for their rescue. My prayers to the families of the two soldiers lost during the event. Mes condoléances pour votre perte.
I don’t know the proper phrase, in relation to French custom, to honor the fallen. Just thankful in my Hoosier way, that brave warriors of the French Nation freed the hostages.
Two French commandos were killed attempting two Frenchmen who had been kidnapped “… while on safari in the neighboring country of Benin.” Seriously? On safari in Benin? At what point do you say, “You voluntarily went to an extremely dangerous place for a holiday – we are not risking the lives of good men to rescue your stupid a***.” And what were the American and South Korean doing there?
An incredibly sad loss of two brave men.
Vive la France!! Merci beaucoup!
