Sounds like a place I would not mind living in. Thank you Yankee Papa for a great read.
Really fascinating series on Singapore. There is so much detail I need to read again. Thank you YP for this wonderful look at Singapore. I was not aware of it's most interesting history. Happy birthday to you, YP. I hope you have had a good day. Too bad we aren't all close, the LOS would have to bake you a cake and throw you a party. 🍰🎁🎈
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YP. I hope you have a fantastic day. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge. I always enjoy your contributions to all that you comment on. Sending birthday hugs your way.
Great article YP, thank you. I would think that a modern day Lee Kuan Yew, would be ideal to lead the chaos of Afghanistan or Iraq. Maybe lead is the wrong word, but be part of an advisory committee that actually has some teeth. I love the depth and insight these articles have.
Excellent series YP. I went back and read part 1 last night. I took a friend from Singapore shooting and he had served in the army. His marksmanship was questionable although he was an excellent engineer. I'm curious about your opinion on China and Singapore and their geopolitical relationship. How much sway does China have over Singapore and even though they've been pro US in the past, and are they moving in any direction now? President Trump recently put the end to a hostile takeover of a US company by a Singapore based one. How much of that is based on Chinese influence?
