South Korea’s President gets a time-out

South Korea’s [current] 11th President, Park Geun-hye (whose current “situation” I recently covered here, was recently impeached. This impeachment carries with it a 180 day suspension of duties and authorities. All of which have been subsumed by the current PM.

In my last article on the subject, I covered just about all the causes leading up to this ultimate effect. Having read all that, is it any real surprise that her suspension is the result? Hell no.

Sooo, when we impeach--let's say just presidents to compare Fuji to Red Delicious--there's "typically" (n=2) a lot of political grandstanding and hypocrisy involved on the side of the impeach-ers. Any chance that Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn and the National Assembly are up to their own shenanigans? Not saying the honorable madame president doesn't belong in the time out (fascinating twist, that...and probably still better than straight up assassination), but I'm wondering how fox-in-the-manger-ish this whole scenario is.
