I'd imagine that in the off chance that they were taken by Venezuela they'd be utilized by both the Venezuelan government and the Iranians (who have deniable forces at the Venezuelan/Colombian border-openly available articles about this) near the Colombian border. It would be in both their interests as it would give the Iranians leverage over western influence in Colombia and provide a "nuclear option" to Venezuela if they chose to more aggressively destabilize Colombia. I doubt, however, they'd be comfortable providing refuge to such types of people if they didn't have an option like that open. They'd probably keep him on a tight leash if he were kept in country. That being said, they might also consider it too risky due to their teetering on the edge of civil war. Would make them a bigger target for the West or result in domestic attacks or networks forming.
They are probably already swarming into nation's like Somalia, Nigeria, Sudan, and all the other nation's that have been dealing with terrorism as part of their national fabric. They will live like a cancer, metastasizing and growing beneath the surface until they cause enough disruption to kill, or be vehemently attacked from all sides and reduced again to manageable proportions. Now that you have tied the similarities together for me, it is hard to miss all the connections. Thank you for this very informative article, Mr. Prosser.
The video and pics gave me chills! I hadn't thought about the similarity of the situation with daesh and the Nazi leaders when their regime fell, but Dr. Daddis is most likely correct. Daesh and Assad's minions will be searching for Muslim countries with failed govt/society cohesion and rule to blend and hide and try to continue their evil deeds as much as possible. I doubt if they'll just go off to the hinterlands of Afghanistan and be harmless, happy goat herders for the rest of their lives! These bad guys will need to be identified as they scatter like roaches. Hunts like Bin Laden's may well be in the future and it won't be easy to target them. Very interesting, thanks, Christian.
