When I think back over how excited we were just to watch the new Tomcats take off and fly around, it just boggles my mind how far we've come since then. And the WWII radio planes that they used for target practice have now evolved into these. How awesome! (And, no, I wasn't there to see the radio planes in case you wondered. lol)
There is probably more truth than poetry in that remark, unfortunately. lol
Why don't they just refit all 186 F-35's that will never be combat operational to be re-fueling drones? I mean since they are giant fat wide bodies, for fitting a VTOL that will never be used, gut the air frame, turn the useless two AMRAAM missile weapons bay into a fuel tank and viola!! A stealthy drone tanker.
