I think Vice recently posted a video of their “tour†and interview with a high level Huawei exec. It’s a lot of nothing and non answers to questions. The millennials doing the report even started to get suspicious.
Jack, in regards to your article back in December, you might find it interesting that a Chinese Government website posted a public statement which directly states their intentions to recruit foreign influencial figures to publish public pro-Chinese policy arguments throughout the world. Berggruen institute was specifically named. Which confirms your implications.
Also, on another note, I’m pretty sure if they felt threatened enough, the Chinese gov is capable of brute forcing an accelerated transition to the Yuan through crypto manipulation. This is still theoretical though, and I haven’t confirmed all my assertions regarding this.
So yeah. Two slightly related tangents I thought you might find interesting.
