Captains Courageous, Christmas Day 1968, Spike Team Idaho

Christmas Day 1968 was just another day for Spike Team Idaho. Early that morning ST Idaho was loaded onto Kingbees and flown to the Quang Tri launch site. The early morning rush came to a halt at Quang Tri, as there was some sort of complication with our support elements.

Jack served as a Sniper and Team Leader in 3rd Ranger Battalion and as a Senior Weapons Sergeant on a Military Free Fall team in 5th Special Forces Group. Having left the military in 2010, he graduated from Columbia with a BA in political science. Murphy is the author of Reflexive Fire, Target Deck, Direct Action, and Gray Matter Splatter. Jack...Thank you for paying tribute to John Stryker Meyer, on this Christmas Day, by re-posting an excerpt from 'Across The Fence'. I can't think of a more honorable thing to do for a very fine gentleman who is so invested in locating Our MIA-POW and SF troops who have not come home from SE Asia. I own this book, and I have read it a couple of times. He is an enthralling writer. I graduated high school in 1975, thus I bond with our Vietnam Veterans. To me, they are heroes, and they laid the foundation for Special Operations Forces. We should all be grateful!!! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!
