China confirms airborne early warning to rival US

PRC State media confirmed for the first time on Monday that China was building its first carrier-borne early-warning plane called the KJ-600. Military observers in the region say the surveillance plane is probably designed for launch from China’s newest aircraft carrier and will be outfitted with a stealth sensing radar system capability.

The U.S. mounted a significant challenge to China’s air defenses in the region over the last year when it began deploying F-35s to bases in Japan. The KJ-600 appears to be China’s answer to that challenge.

    I think they would like to use us like a "milk cow".

    It's been a very long time since I watched the Med Cruise videos of our Atlantic fleet, but I think the catapult is still used for the hawkeye. And their plane seems to weigh a bit more than ours. They keep stealing our tech, but can't wrap their head around the entire system.... I think right now, our catapults are safely guarded by the "nuclear powered steam" Navy.

    So it sounds like you see them draining our life's blood slowly with multiple small cuts strategically placed. When they deem us weak enough, then they will go for the throat...or just continue cutting until we bleed out. They are patient, and they are willing to undercut our influence at every turn. Putin does the same but I don't think as skillfully. He doesn't have that sort of patience. If I am understanding you correctly, then you are probably right.

    The Chinese (leadership) know they copy us, they do not have innovation in their culture. I think they weigh carefully the losses and gains. What I read in "Brave new War" (not about china specifically), small operations resulting in exponential payoffs appeal very much to China. Not really the "swarming attacks" we see on the news with drone armada's presented to the camera, but a swarm of assaults at soft targets for sure. When Ca. Senator Leeland Yee was busted buying weapons for San Francisco Chinese gang members (Shrimp boy Chau or something) in the Philippines, I took that as a sign of something much much bigger headed our way. And why shouldn't I? It wouldn't be the first time the communists in China sent weapons and support to the US to power subversion. i.e. Huey P. Newton/ the Black Panthers.
