Maritime Law Enforcement Specialist 2nd Class Tyler Maryott, assigned to U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Security Response Team West, conducts a visit, board, search, and seizure drill with Royal Thai Navy SEALs aboard the Quiandaohu-class auxiliary ship HTMS Similan (AOR 871) as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2019. This year marks the 25th iteration of CARAT, a multinational exercise series designed to enhance U.S. and partner navies’ abilities to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
