There are so many puns and jokes to be had here — but where to start? I was going to say that the Bundeswehr is going to need these new weapons for when they show up late and have to clean up the mess left behind by larger, more active militaries.
It could also be that because of the weapons’ size and geometry they resemble brooms in stature; the HK G36 comes to mind with its full stock, twenty-inch barrel, and large optic system.
Could you imagine getting issued a broom?! I’d be pissed off as I experienced flashbacks of boot camp. Maybe these are just for the Schütze? If you’ve got a better joke (which you undoubtedly do) drop it in the comments. I’m sure there’s some relevant current event that this pertains to — but I’m not tracking, so jokes it is!

Almost as funny as the 82nd being issued M16s for the first time and having to yell *BANG* for each round when training because no one made blanks for them yet.
With such an array, it’ll be a clean sweep.
?buuun ?deeesss ?weeeeehhhhhhhrrrrrrrrr
They used shovels, I think to train with in the 30’s, not so far fetched, lol.
