I'm chuckling about wrapping your wrist. My wrist is better but I'm too scared I'm going to injure it again so I keep wrapping it....just in case. It's not 100% but it's much, much better.

When I lifted in my 20's, never wore gloves or bar foam on heavy squat days ( or ever) because it was my thing. When racking over 400 pounds on my squats, I would bang the bar with my upper chest before getting underneath and prepping to lift. I wore those shoulder strawberries, callouses, and chest stripes because my mantra dictated it must be so to squat heavy.
