Thanks for this. This is something I’ve wanted to do for so long and its so intimidating to hear about what people encounter during selection, but somehow hearing it through a conversational write up resonates so much more than any other advice.
50m swim is just about getting there and back and you’ll get much better at rucking while you’re there. Just take care of your feet and don’t neglect water. Stretch and think long term – don’t go nuts the first few days and hurt yourself. You want to make sure you always in the top 1/3 of the class. Conserve your energy where you can, except for the long walk at the end – destroy everyone.
I know the type, cool to be quiet, but when one does speak, it must be affirmative in command bearing. It took a while for me to learn but I had great NCO role models.
