Between the LoadOut Room, SOFREP TV and SOFREP.com, we spend a fairly solid chunk of time sharing our pro tips about readiness with the you, dear readers. There are countless sites out there on how to set up your every day carry, disaster preparedness and even TV shows dedicated to slightly more wacky “Doomsday preppers.”
We try to stick a little closer to reality here, but only because we know that being prepared when tragedy strikes can be the difference between life and death. And we would like to believe that our beloved SOFREP audience takes our suggestions to heart. But what about the rest of the country?
What we’ve seen from the rest of the world during times of crisis, is that most of the information authorities have provided on preparedness goes in one ear and out the other. Maybe it’s lost in a sea of too much information? Maybe we assume there is always plenty of time? Maybe it just doesn’t seem important enough to retain in the first place?
Maybe, just maybe, someone who DID prepare will be there to bail us out when the crap hits the fan? Good luck with that.
